Schooling : Holy Cross Catholic School, Diepkloof Soweto, this is private school run by Nuns and Brothers that emigrated from Ireland during the days of Segregation in South Africa.
Matriculated from the School in 1990.
Studied for a B. A degree – university of Durban –Westville in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. Majored in English.
Worked for First National Bank, South Africa as a savings clerk and later as a teller. Left First National Bank to study further, obtained a Diploma in Media Studies with Damelin South Africa; the course content was Creative writing.
Joined Lithotec Printing and mailing in South Africa and worked for two years as Mailing Clerk, Later promoted to a Supervisor in Mailroom.
Joined TNS Research Surveys (international Market Research Company) as a tele-interviewer. Trained as an assistant supervisor. While at TNS, enrolled in a Sector Education and Training Authority South Africa (STEA) in learner ship course on Call Centre Support NQF 2. Currently for TNS Research Surveys in Johannesburg as a Quality Assessor. Responsibilities and duties include assuring quality of interviews, recruitment of new agents and their training.
Yancy Radebe follows the Catholic faith.
Hobbies: very active – soccer player, Shoot pool, write poetry and short stories. Already had one of his poems published in an anthology called Deep Reflections, the poem was later selected among entries submitted for a continental poetry competition by the poetry Institute of Africa.
Mr Radebe speaks a total of nine languages spoken in South Africa. He is very familiar with the different beliefs and customs of this diverse society. I believe he has an insatiable hunger for knowledge, good writing and verbal communication skills.
