Background of The Kitale Community Hospital in Kitale, Kenya
About the middle of October 2006, Dr Senessie was coming from Budapest in Hungary after attending the European Session of the USA based International Association of Physicians in AIDS Care (IAPAC) whe he happened to meet on board the Swiss bound return flight, Pastors Werni and Ilona Bruderer of the Revival Power Outreach (RPO) Assiciation also returning from pastoral engagement.
After exchange of the usual pleasantries, the conversation drifted along discussions of professional experiences and visions in life and in no less a time they discovered their common interest in helping people in resource limited setting through their common profession of medical and faith based organisation.
Pastors Bruderer told Dr Senessie of their proposed plan to purchase and acquire a twenty year old hospital - Kitale Private Hospital - in a heavily resource constrained community village of Kitale in Kenya.
Hence high up there in the clouds, the heads of both organisations inspired and fuelled by the ever burning desire to help those poor people established a formal collaboration with the determination of seeing this project become a reality.
Back in Switzerland they were later to follow up with series of meetings and consultations of members of both organisations around the globe who gave the leaders their unflinching support.
It was agreed that AEMRN will support Revival Power Outreach in seeking funds to purchase the hospital and that donor and members of AEMRN giving financial assistance towards this goal should kindly send such money to the account below and inform both groups of their kind donation in a worthy cause.
