The start of collaboration between AEMRN and A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine University of Liberia, Monrovia Liberia
Before leaving for Monrovia Liberia, Dr Senessie met Prof. Thomas M. Cook in Montreux, Switzerland during the 14th Public Health Conference of the European Public Health Association(EUPHA). Prof. Thomas M. Cook was from the Department of Occupational and Environment Health at the University of Iowa in the United States of America.
Prof. Cook was later briefed about the Projects of AEMRN in Liberia and eventually linked Dr Senessie and Prof. T. Freeman who is the acting Dean of the only Medical School in Liberia- The A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine, University of Liberia.
In Monrovia, Dr Senessie follow up the contact with series of meetings between the members of AEMRN in Liberia, Prof. Freeman and staff of the Medical school resulting in planned collaborative work between the two Institutions as they shared the common vision of human resources capacity building and multidisciplinary approach in providing adequate and sustainable social and health care services to the people.
